Jes received his PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Copenhagen with Dr. Thomas Hamelryck as his main supervisor. He also hold a BSc in mathematics and computer science and a MSc in Bioinformatics. After his PhD he was a postdoc with Professor Anders Krogh in Copenhagen. He joined the Cambridge Machine Learning group as a postdoc in May 2013.
