Paul graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Mathematics and an MPhil in Computational Biology. He then received an MSc in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning from UCL, where he worked with Arthur Gretton for his thesis. He joined the group as a PhD student in 2015 through the Cambridge-Tuebingen programme and is funded by the EPSRC.
